Turning Ideas into Impact

Every project begins with a question.

How can archives become more accessible? How can outreach create meaningful connections? How can libraries support learning in new and unexpected ways? How can assessment help us understand our impact? These questions guide my work as a librarian, archivist, educator, and scholar.

The projects featured here represent moments where research, collaboration, and creativity came together to address real challenges within academic libraries. While each initiative served a different audience and purpose, they share a common goal: strengthening the relationship between people and knowledge through thoughtful planning, meaningful partnerships, and evidence-informed practice.

Rather than viewing projects as isolated accomplishments, I see them as opportunities for continual learning. Every initiative provides insight into how libraries can better support teaching, scholarship, cultural heritage, and student success. Reflection and assessment are therefore integral to my project work, helping transform individual experiences into practices that can inform future collaborations.

    Archives and special collections preserve the evidence of our shared history, but preservation alone is only the beginning. Through archival stewardship, exhibitions, metadata, and public engagement, I seek to make cultural heritage collections more discoverable, accessible, and meaningful for researchers, students, and the broader community. These projects reflect my commitment to connecting historical materials with contemporary audiences while supporting responsible preservation and thoughtful interpretation.

    I believe libraries are active learning environments where students develop the confidence to ask questions, explore evidence, and construct new knowledge. My teaching philosophy emphasizes inquiry, collaboration, and experiential learning, encouraging students to engage critically with information, primary sources, and the research process.
